Here are my top 3 pictures from my shoot today, but I can only pick one. Feel free to comment and let me know which one you like better.

                       

My model has direct contact with the camera to show an attentive attraction with the model and the audiences. I have angled the camera in a way which makes her eyes appear big; this creates indications of innocence and femininity, which touches upon a retro perception of femininity. Her facial expressions create seduction and connote sexual context as well as presenting female traits. Men, which are an additional target audience, may see this as arousing and will further their interest. Females may view this as an inspiration as this conveys how an ideal female should look like. Going back to the 1980s, which is known for their 'retro-lifestyle', I have chosen the expected hairstyle as well as the beauty spot. These all indicate an insight of retro living and being beautiful. This photograph may be considered as a perfect front cover; my model has used direct eye contact and is an attractive close up. In addition to this, the close shot shows no apparent imperfections and highlights her beauty. Viewing this picture from a male perspective, it meets their requirements of viewing a beautiful female and as a female, they are more induced into what makes a female attractive and admired by a male.


The second photo does not use direct address my model looks away. My model looks innocent feminine and chicky. Using the same colour for the lipstick and headband, automatically attracts people as the colour has connotations of develish, sexy and attractive. I have chosen these colours to engage my targeted audience as these are considered to be 'a bold statement'. The model has refrained from direct eyecontatc with the camera; this can be interpreted as the model being distracted or showing that something else has caught her attention This presents to the audience a figure which is innocent and not attentive which conveys female steriotypes and traits, to some extent

My use of lighting has focused on the models face to highlight her facial features. It creates more focusing on her beautiful lips and eyes which are desired by majority of females.Her eye makeup have attempted in making her lips look quite big and her eyes seem more feminine through her eyelashes and her eyeliner. Her facial contouring has given an impression of cheekbones which falls into the category of retro-style. To some extent, her strong visible eye contact may be viewed as sexually inviting through presenting lust and innocence. Furthermore, biting on to her glasses present sexual connotations as she is interacting with the audience, almost as if she is toying with them; holding glasses may indicate her level of intelligence being high which to most men is seductive and to females may be inspiring. Being clever is seen as sexy. The traits of pinup girls are their lipstick colour being vibrant and being a statement maker. This conforms to the retro style which attracts my aimed audience.
